Contacts is the single database that every other module reads from. Import a person once and they're available to Campaigns, Sequences, Broadcasts, the Inbox, Help Desk, and CRM — so your data stays consistent and you never re-import.
Each contact can store standard details (name, email, phone), your own custom fields, a status and lifecycle stage, tags, an owner, and social profiles with follower counts. From the Contacts app you can create, edit, search, filter, import, and export contacts, and manage your suppression list.
Because marketing, sales, and support all draw from these records, a contact's history isn't scattered across separate tools. The trade-off is that keeping this database clean matters — good data here makes every module better.
