The whole point of a sequence is to stop chasing someone the moment they engage — and to do it cleanly.
What happens automatically
- Replies pause the enrollment immediately, so a contact who answers doesn't keep receiving follow-ups.
- Auto-replies and out-of-office messages are detected and filtered, so a vacation responder doesn't falsely pause a cadence.
- Bounces halt progression for that contact instead of continuing to send to a dead address.
Nothing to manage
You don't configure or babysit any of this — it's built into how sequences run. For reply detection to catch replies to a mailbox, that mailbox needs inbound (IMAP) configured; see Connect a mailbox.
